Stunning Victorian-era medallion back parlor chair featuring a richly carved solid mahogany frame with scrolled arms, fluted tapered legs, and a distinctive oval cartouche back — a hallmark of late 19th-century American and European parlor furniture. The upholstery is finished in a cream damask-style fabric with blue and gold botanical motifs that beautifully complement the dark mahogany finish. Condition is excellent throughout. The fabric shows no staining, sagging, or wear. The carved wood frame is solid and structurally sound with no visible repairs, cracks, or missing elements. The seat cushion retains its shape and firmness. This piece appears to have been professionally reupholstered at some point using period-appropriate fabric.
