Description
This charming double-handled ceramic urn showcases the hallmarks of mid-20th century folk-inspired studio pottery. The piece bears a hand-written artist signature along the lower body band, suggesting it was crafted by a skilled individual potter or small atelier rather than mass-produced. The decoration features delicate blue daisy-like blossoms with red centers and green foliage, scattered across a mottled cream ground between coordinating blue sponged bands with pink accent lines. This style of hand-applied floral motif is consistent with Italian or Central European pottery traditions popular from the 1940s through the 1960s. The rounded ovoid form with ear-style handles gives the piece a timeless, rustic elegance that pairs beautifully with cottage, farmhouse, or traditional interior styles. A lovely display piece for a mantle, bookshelf, or entry table.
