Description
The hand-painted floral sprigs — featuring soft pink and red blossoms with trailing green foliage — add a romantic, painterly charm to the piece. The scalloped rims with their lavish gold detailing speak to the era's love of opulence at the dining table. The two-tone color treatment of the wells suggests this may be a transitional or repaired piece, or simply a unique factory variation, making it a particularly interesting collector's find.
Condition
GoodThe plate shows visible wear consistent with age, including significant gold gilt loss and rubbing across the center hub and several of the lower wells. The two upper celadon-green wells appear to be in noticeably better condition with brighter decoration, suggesting they may have been replaced or restored at some point. No visible cracks or chips are apparent, but crazing or hairlines may be present and are not fully determinable from the photo.
