Description
A beautiful example of French Art Nouveau art glass by the renowned Legras glassworks of Saint-Denis, France, active from the late 19th through early 20th century. This squat, bulbous vase features a pinched/dimpled neck and is decorated with a stunning hand-enameled lakeside or riverside landscape scene, complete with trees, distant mountains, birds in flight, and shimmering water reflections rendered in green, blue, amber, and brown tones. The piece bears the classic 'Legras' script signature on the lower body. Condition is Good — the enamel decoration appears vivid and well-preserved. No chips or cracks observed, though we recommend buyers note this is an antique piece over 100 years old and minor age-related wear may be present. Approximate dimensions appear to be roughly 4-5 inches tall and 4-5 inches wide based on proportions; buyers are encouraged to request exact measurements. This piece will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a double-walled box with ample padding to ensure safe transit. Insurance is strongly recommended. A wonderful addition to any Art Nouveau or French decorative arts collection.
Condition
GoodOverall good condition with vibrant enameled landscape decoration intact. Pinched/dimpled neck is characteristic of the design. No visible chips or cracks noted in photo, but close inspection of rim and base recommended. Minor surface wear consistent with age.
