Stunning antique Gothic Revival carved oak side chair, likely dating to the late Victorian era circa 1880-1910. The elaborate backrest features deeply carved floral medallions, acanthus leaf scrollwork, and arch motifs typical of the Gothic Revival aesthetic popular in the late 19th century. The turned and carved front legs add additional decorative interest. The seat is upholstered in brown leather with traditional brass nailhead trim detail along the apron. The leather shows a beautiful aged patina with minor surface scuffing consistent with age and use — no tears or major damage noted. The wood frame is solid and sturdy with no loose joints observed.
