Description
This charming set of approximately eight hand-painted ceramic plates showcases the rich tradition of European folk pottery, likely of Central or Eastern European origin — possibly Hungarian, Polish, or Czechoslovakian — dating to the mid-20th century or earlier. The reticulated (pierced lattice) rim is a hallmark of skilled regional pottery workshops that flourished throughout Central Europe, where artisans combined functional craft with decorative artistry. Each plate features a vibrant hand-painted floral bouquet at the center, rendered in a classic folk palette of rose pink, forest green, lavender, and golden yellow. The scalloped, lattice-pierced border is finished in a warm mustard yellow glaze that frames the design with rustic elegance. These plates are equally at home displayed on a plate rack, hung as wall art, or used as decorative accents in a cottage, farmhouse, or eclectic interior. A delightful set that captures the warmth and craftsmanship of old-world European ceramic traditions.
