Toulouse-Lautrec Moulin Rouge La Goulue Lithograph Print - Framed
$75.00Description
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's iconic 1891 Moulin Rouge: La Goulue poster is one of the most recognized and beloved images in art history. Originally commissioned as a lithograph advertisement for the famous Parisian cabaret, the image features the celebrated cancan dancer Louise Weber — known as 'La Goulue' — and the silhouetted figure of Valentin le Désossé, capturing the electric atmosphere of fin-de-siècle Montmartre nightlife. This reproduction print showcases Lautrec's masterful use of bold graphic lines, flattened forms, and vivid color contrasts — hallmarks of his revolutionary poster art that bridged fine art and commercial design. The text 'Concert Bal Tous Les Soirs' and 'Bal Masqué' reference the nightly performances and masquerade balls that made Moulin Rouge the toast of Paris. Presented in a beautifully ornate gold frame with professional double matting in black and teal, this piece is ready to hang and makes a dramatic statement in any home, office, or hospitality setting. A timeless tribute to one of history's greatest poster artists and the golden age of Parisian entertainment.

American Brilliant Cut Crystal Punch Bowl Set
Glassware & Crystal
This stunning American Brilliant Cut glass platter and creamer represents the pinnacle of the brilliant cutting period, roughly spanning 1876 to 1916. Characterized by its deeply incised geometric motifs — including hobstar medallions, pinwheel fans, crosshatching, and fine star-cut accents — this set exemplifies the dazzling prismatic quality that made American cut glass the most celebrated glassware of its era. Creamer 6” x3@h x 4” The large rectangular tray features a bold radiating fan design flanked by repeating star and crescent motifs, while the companion punch bowl displays equally intricate all-over cutting with a scalloped rim and matching pattern vocabulary. A period-appropriate glass ladle completes the ensemble, suggesting the set was kept together and likely used for formal entertaining. Pieces of this quality and completeness are increasingly difficult to find intact. The heavy lead crystal construction produces the brilliant light refraction that collectors prize, and the cohesive pattern across all pieces suggests they were purchased as a matched set from a single manufacturer, possibly Hawkes, Libbey, or a comparable house of the period.
