Stunning antique mahogany serpentine-front chest of drawers featuring beautiful satinwood crossbanding and stringing inlay throughout. Likely English or American Federal period, circa late 18th to early 19th century. Four graduated drawers with original brass ring-and-boss knobs, bracket feet, and chamfered top corners — all hallmarks of Hepplewhite or Sheraton craftsmanship. Condition is good for age. Top surface shows light wear and minor scratches consistent with honest use over centuries. Some veneer lifting visible on drawer fronts — easily addressable by a conservator. Original hardware and finish intact. One bracket foot shows minor repair. Drawers operate smoothly. Approximate dimensions: 48"W x 22"D x 36"H (estimate from photo).
