American Brilliant Cut Crystal Punch Bowl Set
Glassware & Crystal
This stunning American Brilliant Cut glass platter and creamer represents the pinnacle of the brilliant cutting period, roughly spanning 1876 to 1916. Characterized by its deeply incised geometric motifs — including hobstar medallions, pinwheel fans, crosshatching, and fine star-cut accents — this set exemplifies the dazzling prismatic quality that made American cut glass the most celebrated glassware of its era. Creamer 6” x3@h x 4” The large rectangular tray features a bold radiating fan design flanked by repeating star and crescent motifs, while the companion punch bowl displays equally intricate all-over cutting with a scalloped rim and matching pattern vocabulary. A period-appropriate glass ladle completes the ensemble, suggesting the set was kept together and likely used for formal entertaining. Pieces of this quality and completeness are increasingly difficult to find intact. The heavy lead crystal construction produces the brilliant light refraction that collectors prize, and the cohesive pattern across all pieces suggests they were purchased as a matched set from a single manufacturer, possibly Hawkes, Libbey, or a comparable house of the period.

Monkey Band Figural Table Lamp Red Shade
Lamps & Lighting
This extraordinary figural table lamp features a troupe of carved wooden monkeys arranged as a musical band, encircling a central carved pedestal base. The whimsical and highly detailed figures reflect the tradition of 'singerie' — the European fascination with monkeys depicted in human activities — a motif popular from the 18th century through the early 20th century. The lamp is crowned with a richly appointed red linen shade embroidered with a repeating gold palm tree motif and finished with a braided gold trim border, perfectly complementing the exotic colonial theme of the base. The dark lacquered stepped base adds a formal architectural grounding to the playful sculptural elements above. A statement piece that bridges fine decorative arts and collector curiosity, this lamp would be equally at home in a gentleman's library, a colonial-style study, or as a focal accent in an eclectic interior. Its rarity and thematic cohesion make it a standout among vintage lighting collectors.
