Beautiful antique German stoneware beer stein featuring a stunning cobalt blue glaze with intricate raised relief decoration including edelweiss flowers and scrollwork. The stein features a pewter hinged lid with decorative thumb lift and finial top. A hand-painted scenic panel depicts a traditional Alpine or folk scene, typical of late 19th to early 20th century German craftsmanship. Condition is Good — the stoneware body and glaze are intact with no chips or cracks detected. The pewter lid shows light age patina and minor surface wear consistent with its age. Some minor paint loss on the scenic panel. Decorative beaded borders and lower floral band are crisp and well-preserved. Approximate height with lid: 7-8 inches.
